MediRoutes is a B2B app used by the non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) industry to track and manage the transport of medical patients. NEMT drivers use the MediRoutes app to view and perform their list of scheduled trips. As these trips are being performed, NEMT dispatchers can see where their drivers are and the ETA of their next patient pickup or dropoff.
NEMT dispatchers need to be able to see where their drivers are in the middle of the work day, even if their drivers are using another app (such as Mail or Google Maps). In order to provide accurate ETAs to hospitals and doctor's offices, our app needs to be able to determine and share the real-time geolocation of the driver for the duration of their work day. This is a line of business app used by the medical community to track and manage patients coming to and from doctor's visits.
To get the most out of using the MediRoutes app, we request access to your location data.
You can change your security preferences at any time in your phone’s settings.
These permissions are never used outside your normal use of the app. We take your data privacy seriously.
MediRoutes uses your phone’s location services to give you a great ride experience. We only access your location if the MediRoutes app is running on your phone AND you are logged into the app. If you close the app OR log out of the app, we won't access that info.
Sharing your location data with us turns background location sharing on. Background location sharing means you're sharing your location with us even when the app isn't visible on your screen.
You can control background location sharing in your MediRoutes app settings.
To do so:
If you turn background location sharing off, MediRoutes will not function as designed since the core feature of the Mediroutes mobile app is to allow dispatchers to view their fleet’s location and ETAs in real time.
If you want to upload pictures for vehicle inspections, we’ll ask for access to your camera.
MediRoutes is a business-to-business application used by transportation providers to manage and document the medical trips they perform. Because this data forms part of the operational and historical record of those trips, we retain your personal data — including account information, trip activity, location history, and any vehicle inspection photos you upload — for as long as it is needed to provide the service and to maintain that record.
By default, we retain this data indefinitely, including after your account is deactivated or after your employer stops using MediRoutes, so that the trip and operational history remains complete and available to the provider you drove for. Notwithstanding this default, you may request deletion of your personal data as described below.
You may request deletion of the personal data we hold about you at any time. Because MediRoutes is provided to you through your employer, some of your data may be controlled by your employer, and we may need to coordinate with them before deleting it.
To request deletion of your data:
Once we verify your identity, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. We may retain a limited subset of data where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to complete the trip records of the transportation provider you worked with, and we will inform you if that applies to your request.
